Small Unmanned Aircrafts (SUAs) has been gaining popularity as innovation and technology progress, and their operation has become a pastime for an increasing number of people. To balance the needs of different users, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has selected three recreation venues suitable for flying SUAs and implemented a pilot scheme for booking by organisations to conduct SUA activities. The three venues are listed belows:
Venue | Address | Enquiry No. |
Mount Davis Service Reservoir Garden |
Mount Davis Fresh Water Service Reservoir, Kennedy Town, Sai Wan | 2853 2575 |
Lok Fu Service Reservoir Rest Garden |
Fu On Street, Lok Fu, Kowloon | 2336 4638 |
Tai Tau Leng Playground |
Tai Tau Leng Village, Sheung Shui | 2679 2818 |
The above recreation venues are only open for booking by organisations to conduct SUA activities exclusively. This is to ensure that the activities are conducted by the organisations in an organised and regulated manner, and that no members of the public will enter the SUA flying zones for the sake of safety.
Organisations intending to apply for the use of such recreation venues to conduct SUA activities may contact the respective venues. The LCSD will process and consider the applications case by case in accordance with established procedures.
