Dance Room No. 1 of the Centre remains temporarily closed until further notice. This facility was temporarily closed earlier for renovation works.

Members of the public can reserve the reopened fee-charging facility via the SmartPLAY website (www.smartplay.lcsd.gov.hk/home), the mobile app (My SmartPLAY), Smart Self-service Stations, or via the service counters at leisure venues and the District Leisure Services Offices.

The following Players' Guide will be updated with effect from 7 August 2023:

  • The minimum age for using skateboard ground and skatepark is changed from 8 to 5 . Adult supervision is recommended for children players below the age of 12.
  • All players in skatepark must wear a head-protected safety helmet with safety stripes as appropriate while full face helmet is required for freestyle BMX rider when riding in skatepark. Helmets should fit snuggly.

To facilitate the refurbishment works, the changing rooms, toilets and study corner on the third floor are also temporarily closed from the same day onwards until further notice.

The opening sessions and admission arrangement of Children’s Play Room at Ping Shan Tin Shui Wai Sports Centre will be changed with effect from 1 December 2023 (Friday) with details as below:

  1. Duration of each session to be changed from 30 minutes to 45 minutes;
  2. Number of sessions per day to be changed from 16 to 12; and
  3. Admission arrangement to be changed from "queuing up" to "distributing admission tickets" prior to the use. The admission tickets will be distributed 30 minutes before the commencement of each session. Admission is on a "first-come-first-served" basis, subject to the availability of places at the material time.
