Exhibitions on Folk Music: Loan Out Services of Exhibition Panels
 
To promote the vibrancy and richness of folk music, the following sets of exhibition panels are now available for free loan:
- Carnival Samba (New)
- Folk Music of the South-western Region of China
- Classical Music of Central Asia
- Exploring Traditional Music of Japan
- Introduction to Music of North India
- Introduction to Music of Indonesia – Balinese Gamelan
Each set comprises 4 panels [size per panel: 30” (W) × 40” (H)] and 1 CD/ DVD.

Eligibility for Application
Primary and secondary schools, tertiary institutions, charitable and non-profit-making organisations registered in Hong Kong.
Application Procedures
1. | Please contact the Music Office at 2596 0898 for the availability of the exhibition panels and then submit the completed application form to the Music Office by email (amoiihk@lcsd.gov.hk) or fax (2824 1989). |
2. | Advance booking should be made at least one month prior to the proposed loan period. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. |
3. | For the application from registered charitable/ non-profit-making organisations, a copy of supporting document to identify the nature of the organisation, e.g. a letter issued by the Inland Revenue Department under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, should be produced. The copy should be certified true by the person-in-charge of the organisation and affixed with the organisation chop. |
4. | The loan period is one month. For those who would like to borrow longer than one month, please specify the reason in the application form for the Music Office’s consideration. |
5. | The Music Office will contact the applicant within 2 working days upon receipt of the application, and email successful applicant the “Undertaking for Loan Out of Exhibition Materials” and the “Confirmation for Collection and Return of Exhibition Materials”. |
Conditions of Loan
1. | Self-collecting exhibition materials: | |
1.1 | Successful applicant is required to make its own transportation arrangement to collect and return the exhibition materials at the Hong Kong Music Centre of the Music Office (9/F Hong Kong Arts Centre, 2 Harbour Road, Wanchai) during the specified office hours (Mon-Fri: 9:30am-12:30pm and 2pm-6pm; closed on public holidays) according to the loan period approved by the Music Office. The Music Office is not responsible for the transportation arrangement. | |
1.2 | The borrowing party is required to submit the originals of the completed “Undertaking for Loan Out of Exhibition Materials” and the “Confirmation for Collection and Return of Exhibition Materials” affixed with the organisation chop upon collection of exhibition materials. | |
1.3 | When collecting the exhibition materials on behalf of the borrowing party, the authorisee should inspect the exhibition materials. Our staff will also perform inspection on the exhibition materials when they are returned. | |
2. | The exhibition panels should be properly and securely fixed in indoor areas to prevent them from falling over and to protect them from humidity and direct sunlight. The borrowing party shall be responsible for the safety measures during the display period. Under no circumstances shall the Music Office be liable for any harm or damage to any person or property caused by the exhibition materials when they are in the custody of the borrowing party. | |
3. | Any damage to or loss of the exhibition materials must be reported to the Music Office immediately and no attempt to repair them should be made. The Music Office reserves the right to claim damages from the borrowing party, including the cost of repairs or reproduction of the exhibition materials and any other related costs. | |
4. | The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region possesses the copyright of the content of exhibition. The content shall not be reproduced, duplicated or altered. | |
5. | The borrowing party should not impose any charge on the visitors, or loan the exhibition materials to any other organisations. | |
6. | The borrowing party is required to email the Music Office copies of photos taken during the exhibition prior to the return of exhibition materials for archive and publicity purposes. | |
7. | Application is subject to the Music Office’s final approval. |
